Down - Hellfest 2022 – @ARTE Concert

Down is what is commonly called a “super group”: the association of several members who have already acquired a certain reputation within other musical formations. And what union! Started in 1991 in Louisiana, the project was born under the leadership of singer Phil Anselmo (Pantera), guitarist Peeper Keenan (Corrosion of Conformity), guitarist Kirk Windstein, bassist Todd Strange (Crowbar) and drummer Jimmy Bower ( Eyehategod). What better line to give birth to Down?

In any case, this group of friends probably did not expect such success when they started, in the early 90s, to sell their own demos. First spotted by the manager of the Elektra Records label, the members of Down signed their first contract and the album NOLA, which met with great success.

Patrick Bruders and Bobby Landgraf have since joined the band as bassist and guitarist and active members of Down have enjoyed a prolific time in the studio since 2009, with the Down IV Part projects. I and Part. II. With a small amount of scenes to their credit, their stage performances unleash the crowds… as sometimes controversy. But nothing can impress our tough guys from New Orleans, far from having come to flirt with the public of Hellfest 2022. Fasten your seatbelts, it's going to take your breath away!
