Not much else to say about this yet other than the fact that Michael Bay has just announced, following his meeting with Spielberg and ILM, that it will be getting released on July 1st 2011.

There aren't any other details about the movie as yet, not even any word on which of the films prior cast will be returning.


That said, part of me wants to see the Dinobots and Shockwave appear this time around, but the other part of me thinks that this might not be possible without changing the back story even more than they did last time! 
Still, I suppose they should be able to fit Rumble in this time (I mean come on, a robot that can more or less produce his own earthquake like effects! that has to be good for destroying a few buildings and having a few baysplosions!)
