I've been thinking. The creators intended to have Heroes have a different cast each season, and I'm starting to think that may have been the best choice. So, I then thought, maybe if they rebooted it from Heroes season 2, and make seasons 2-4 an alternate continuity like Marvel's Ultimate universe.

As cool as the cast was in Heroes Season One, they just cant seem to live up to themselves since season 2. A new cast of heroes would be quite refreshing, plus theres the oppotunity to rework some of the characters that appeared in Heroes seasons 2 & 3.

Some characters like Mohinder may need to stay, because it'd be weird if there was a different specialist type character each Heroes season. It'd be nice if the company could go back to there mysterious villainy ways as well. Perhaps bring back Bob and Elle.

I kinda like the idea of The Company Vs Adam Monroe each with there own team of cronies, both human, and evolved.

Also, references to Heroes season One would make a few smile. I know its probably never going to happen, but I was just curious as to what you all thought.

A series with various alternate realities is not very likely to happen as it will confuse a lot of the viewers - there were a lot of complaints about the confusion  caused by the time travel (both to the past and the future), so I can only imagine the amount of confusion if there were several alternate realities.

The changing of the cast across seasons (aside from the core cast of Sylar, the Patrellies, Claire & Noah, Parkman, Hiro & Ando, Mohinder and whoever Ali Larter is playing.. ;) ) I think works for an against it.  It does allow for us to see new characters and abilities and reinforces the fact that there is a bigger work going on around the main characters, however it does also take away much of the empathy people have for the characters since you know it's just a matter of time before they are gone again (usually they get killed by Sylar or they just suddenly get written out)
