Ok... well.. I never thought i'd have more fun playing a fps online against people than single player story mode... but I found a game that does just that.
Call of Juarez. This game is so bloody cool online (and story mode is great too). Its a real western game. Weapons all authentic, sounds are spot on and death animations are classic (nothings more fun that slingin your rifle off your shoulder and blowing off the enemies skull and see his hat pop up in the hair :)
Online is so much fun, having gun fights at the ok corral, or doing cap the flag/gold with your team on horseback racing through the map being chased by the sherriffs...seeing your bandit member get his horse shot and seeing him fall of the side of a cliff. Classic.
I'd recommend this game to anyone who loves fps games...and westerns.

half lifes ok... wasn't so great on the console compared to the pc though.

How was Americas Army.. I never did get round to that one... is it pretty realistic in terms of simulation?

Realistic yup.
Requires loads of teamwork and a load of crap, which you get in a clan.

tough call.
Half-life 2 for single player (with Halo on PC and Quake 2 being two others that deserve a mention)

Still into the Unreal huh Stevie... halo is good.. the halo 3 beta was pretty fun... some cool new additions to the MP.

ehh i played Halo 1 and 2 but i wasnt so crazy about them. they're decent fun but i love my Half-Life

I hear 90% of Super computers run on Linux, and 60% of computers (Including phones, DVD player's, ps3's) run on a Linux back end. I loved unreal, but if number 3 needs a good computer, the makers can blow me :)

I don't usually play FPS's. Mostly because the only one I can think of is Resident Evil, and that's a 15.

Heh, Having a High Voice must suck. You can't drink, smoke or play good video games ^^ Why don't you download AA, it's free you know ^^

I think Unreal's mods are pretty good leaving a lot of gameplay there.
But I think AA, BF2, CS:S are all good games which are played by a lot of (albeit 'squeekers') players, who enjoy and excel at the game. I think the big titles are the best ones.
HL2 is a great single player game, though.
