well, no one else has mentioned it and i know many are probably sick of hearing about it, but its really all i can think about.
you all know the backstory: a lebanese organization devoted to trying to get the occupiers out of lebanon (hezbullah) killed some isreali soldiers and took some hostage and i'm not sure what else and the response from isreal was rather violent. so they're on a campaign to destroy hezbullah and are killing everyone in their path.

so...thought from everyone?

hmmm yeah i do think its very wrong. how do you think it will lead to a world war? just everyone getting involoved?

The statement of it leading to a world war is a bit far fetched, allthough it may lead to problems with other states.

The issue will be that goverments may use it as a way to cover up other events, like the failure to produce results in Afghan and Iraq.


Israel has its reason's for the attacks, the American are backing them UN says it MAY be war crimes, but this cannot be proven untill the UN work out what was in the flats that have been bombed.

i'm sure this is a wonderful distraction for the US. we've heard nothing about iraq for the past 2 weeks and no one is really even thinking about it.
honestly i think there is no reason for the murder of any number of innocent people. they may have their reasons for being angry, but in my opinion lebanon attacked soldiers and isreal attacked civilians. many of them women and children. if you've ever been to the middle east, you see that the people who walk the streets of lebanon are usually mothers or nannies and children. lovely.
hopefully it all dies down and doesn't turn into a huge thing, but there is every possibility that the entire middle east will get into this. iran and syria are with lebanon and may join in.
eh, i dunno.
i just wish people would TALK.

lol i mean the middle eastern people. i wish they would sit down and negotiate instead of beating each other with sticks. i don't know WHAT the us wants, but i wish it would just mind its own business instead of getting all up in everybody's business.
as if a country that has been around for 200 years has any right to dictate to other countries. i don't care how powerful they are.
if somone ASKS for help, that's one thing. but charging in like the conquering hero....ugh.

I think both side are breaking the War Laws (Really exist, there like no gas attacks and stuff) by bombing cilvian targerts as a main target.

No I don't think so. Israel could wipe Hezbullah off the map if it wanted to. IT's creating a buffer zone for UN peacekeapers at the moment.
