Stevie here: Like Chavs or not, I don't like blatant anti-social posts. If you want to rant about something that happened to you, fine but don't make generalised statements about social groups like that - it is bordering on falling into the same category as racism.

A chav is many things it seems most people have a different view on what a chav is.
In my opinion a chav is someone who wears tracksuits, big gold rings/necklaces/earings, hangs around town centres looking for fights and is generally quite annoying.
The main thing which annoys me is how they act tough in a group, yet one on one they go down quicker than the popes trousers.
However I am friends with quite a few of them, which has benifits.

when i asked this question they told me to go to urbandictionary.com. it has a pretty good def. i'm actually not sure if the us has an equivelant so i definitely wouldn't know if canada does. maybe emo's, but we don;t hate them, there are just a lot of themabout and it can get annoying.

A chav is like a hood or a gangsta except most of them are complete *****s and wannabees
In canada apparently there called bllingers... lol what a name
But min you some chavs are allright too me (about two people) but the rest are complete cocks.
I reckon chavs would overide the government if they had brains...
I blame chavs on gangster rap

I agree, I blam Chavs for White people thinking they can rap. Chavs are a majour problem...If i was in power *Mikes go on about his master plan to get rid of chavs* and when there all killed I'll kill a single Clown.

Who here thinks only Chavs have modded cars? I'm not sure, i've saw loads of chavs with the plastic bodykits on there ford fisesta (sp) but i have saw some very nice modded cars around aswell. What do you think?

Definately not just chavs with modded cars. People have been modding cars long before chavs were ever around.
I mod my car(s), I know plenty of people that are into modding cars. BB is into his cars as well.

How about those weak cars that have a plastic bodykit on them what's owners drive around in 1st and 2nd gear to make it sound better...but ti wrecks the car and the car can't go over speed bumps.

Sorry about the hatefull ranting but they have just pushed me far to far and im very annoyed because it seems that everyone I know gets assualted every week and it just takes the piss and I really feel like I could beat some of them to a pulp but I would never do such a thing lol

P.S I know loads of car 'moderators' who arent chavs,most chavs mod there cars with no talent whatso ever they just stick a body kit and paint over.
I saw some really nice cars in nuts once really really nice over moderated cars.

I think you mean, 'Car Modifiers', a moderator is someone who makes sure bad things do not happen. I know what you mean when you say chavs assult people, most of these are never reported. Personally if something like that happened to me i would pull out an AK and say 'Go ahead, make my day'. Do you think it's every right to fight?

one of my good friends got mugged TWICE. first time was leaving work at 9 and the guys had a gun. (wallet was in the car, they got nothin) second time was checking his mail and they broke his rib. (no money or drivers liscence in the wallet) but yeah. i honestly don't think we have an equivelent to "chavs" and the only thing i have to say about modifying you car is this: low riders are freakin ugly. that scraping sound they make when they go over any ground that isn't completely flat is not at all sexy, and taking the labels off the car after you've souped it up so no one knows that it wasn't a pimp-mobile to begin with isn't fooling ANYONE. if it doesn't have labels, we all know what you did. just be proud you made a decent car a more decent car and get over it.
