That is your forum rank. Changes depending on number of posts made. The ones that are not starting with 'L1' etc are custom titles, generally been given out to people you do stuff for the site (eg, BigB is a moderator, hence his stars are red as well), or have been won as a prize.
first cut off is 50, then 100, then several hundred, then more again... and so on, I forget the exact numbers!
