Pirates of the Caribbean: Treasures of the Lost Abyss is the (somewhat long) title of the new Priates movie. Original cast (Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley) will be back as a well a few new additions. The interview below (yes, same link as the T4 thread!) states "It's on a much grander scale to the first", which I find amazing as the first was quite grand anyway! Filming starts next year and depending on your interpretation of the interview, it could be that there will be a third one as well (possibly going for the fashionable Trilogyu thing  ) http://iesb.net/movies2/movie110304.php

I found the trailer for this posted online, it's a bit small though but it does give you a reasonable glimpse to the plot of the film Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest http://www.theindyexperience.com/potc2teaser.aviHopefully there will be a officially released trailer online in higher resolution soon.

it looks a lot more bizarre than the original. i mean, there was that fantasical element with the first with the ghosts and the curse and all that, but this has weird huge squid people and weird hybrid animal men...lol i will definitely be withholding judgement until i see this one.

I agree, I was watching the Trailer on 3, I thought it look quite intresting. I might make a effot to go see it instead of just Downloading Bowring it from a mate.

It looks good, the Effects looks very good...Though i seem to think the traillers footage is the same.

i'm still iffy on the special effects...i just think film-makers are relying too much on CGI instead of actually putting some old-fashined hair and makup into the mix...and they could always IMPROVE those things using a computer, but it looks so much more realistic without the graphics...ugh oh well, i'm still gonna go see it...not as excited as i was for the first one though...maybe cuz there's a lot less hype.

just got back from the midnight premier and i have to say....OMG I TOTALLY LOVED IT!!! ummmm spent the whole movie enjoying it but wondering if i actually liked it. and then the end happened. you'll see. amazing. and i'm wondering when the 3rd is coming out. christmas release you think? there is NO WAY they can creat such a cliffhanger and keep you waiting for a year. i mean...its already finished. AHHHH i'm gonna lose my mind!! they left NOTHING AT ALL RELSOLVED. nothing. overall i loved it though. lol. and i'm a picky movie watcher.

just back from seeing it, great film! wasn't sure how they would recreate the adventure and action of the first one, but they managed it well! Just like the first one, it looks amazing, Jack is as bizarre as ever and then the movie is over before you know and you're stunned that 2.5 hours has just passed so quickly! The 3rd one is coming at the end of May next year, so quite a while to wait

Thats very nice, but can't you use the edit button instead of trying to get your post count as big as mine? I was watching the premire stuff today, looks a damn good movie. I need to go see it :)
