I was not in the Mosh pit at the Slipknot gig, though did have some serious mosh pit action when I saw Anthrax earlier this year, Metallica as well.
I used to be mosh-pit-aholic, though I have mellowed a little as I've grown older, so don't so it as often anymore!

I've stopped going in mosh pits since I got my teeth broken in one!!
Actually, that's a lie, I stopped going in them for ages, then a bit over a year ago I went in one at a Bowling For Soup gig thnking that if I was careful I'd be fine... ended up getting the ligaments or tendons in my left index and middle fingers either torn or VERY badly injured. Fingers swelled up to twice their normal size and I couldn't clench a fist for about 4-6 weeks after that!
No more pits for me... :-(

Slipknot rock! Subliminal Verses is an amazing album, I think The Virus of Life is really good and obviously Vermillion 1 + 2. Those two, Duality and Pulse of the Maggots are clearly amazing songs and quite popular from what I've seen but I really do love the Virus of Life ^^
Stone sour are a really good band! <3
But ...
Metallica are The Band.
They are just classic and I love all but one of their songs (Whiskey In The Jar) x
