and show me a rapper that is a good actor! I already know of Ice T, so you can't use him as an example (name one other rapper that would have dressed up as a giant kangaroo to star in an action film!  - Tank Girl reference in case you are wondering, great film!) Anyway, with those kind of films you're not looking for acting talent, just loads of guns, explosions and fast cards (probably fast women as well...)

LL Cool J is actually a decent actor I think, and Ice-Cube did a few good performances too, none moreso than in Boyz In The Hood.
Will Smith, while also an actor, started out as a rapper (Fresh Prince), and he is regarded as being a very good actor.
Those exceptions aside, most rappers aren't... DMX included IMO.

fair point, though that was for rapping. That said, I heard he was pretty good in 8 Mile
This film does look ok, and DMX is playing the same kind of guy that he always does, a bad ass! This time though it looks like he might be playing a bad guy instead of being a hero!

Yes, indeed. Eminem was good in 8mile, and its well worth a watching!!!
DMX always plays same roles, but that is because that is the style he has been given by his manager, to come across to the world as 'bad ass'. Think I might wait for DVD realease of this one.
