no screen shots out yet, they have bearly just confirmed the name of the game (though it was fairly predicable). Likely first shots will come at E3 if they do not show at the current GDC.

I have found out that although the name will be gta: san andreas they have got the rites to gta: sin city and another on that I cant remember

San Andreas, hmmm *puts on thinking cap* Big lorries + Lots of hills = hours of jumping fun.
But what are the chances of it actually coming out october this year? I sense possible slippage.

If Rockstar games say it will it will, They have proved to be very trusting people, its been 2 years since "vice city" and "vice city" was made in 1 year.
San Andreas is based on San Fransisco as Vice City was Las Vagas and Liberty city was New York and Chicago

I thought Vice City was Miami (Maimi Vice), hence all the women in bikini's, flashy sports cars and the overall 80s feel.

Liberty city is New York, Statue of Liberty is big give away!
Vice City is Miama, as in Miami Vice.

one thing i have always loved about GTA:VC is getting a samuri sword and cuttting ppls heads of and watching them bleed. MWAHAAAHAAAA!
