I know how to use all of it, but I would say this, instead of asking how to make an animation, why not just play around with it. I have never been tought it, I learnt it by messing about seeing what things do. If you are still stuck as me exactly what you want to do!

The site, is extremely slow at loading on broadband, so 56k I will take a year. Try making the images a smaller size (kb not pixels) and put loaidng screens on your flash. Perhaps consider using frames (netscape user can't use them, but who cares). Also, stream your music in you flash animations. Saves it having to load in one go at the start.

the whole site was not flash undead, it was flash mixed with HTML. Infact if I remember there wasn't much need for flash at all.

IMO I really don't see the need of putting flash in a frontpage. I am sorry if I have offended anyone.

Because it loads quicker than a gif, allows you to create visually pleasing peices, setting the scene of the website, putting videos in that load in one 10th of the time of normal vid's. Anymore reasons?
