Bruce Willis stars in this Sci-fi movie set in the not too distant future, where humans use "surrogate" robots to interact with the world.  These robots are built to look like their owner (or with variations as they see fit) and are controlled through computer mind interface.  Surrogates have become so popular because they allow people to do things without any risk of harm, as a result, people rarely, if ever leave their home and interact with the world directly.   However, Willis, an FBI agent, is investigating a series of deaths where people have died while using their surrogates.  Things are not what they seem.
