The Sonisphere festival took place at the weekend in Knebworth (UK). The main stage head-liners were Metallica and Linkin Park, with support from Nine Inch Nails, Heaven & Hell, Limp Bizkit, Lamb Of God, Anthrax, Coheed and Cambria, Alien Ant Farm, Killing Joke Buckcherry and Taking Back Sunday. The second stage was headlined by Bulltet For My Valentine and Avenged Sevenfold.
Reports about the festival have been appearing on the internet since Sunday and it seems that the event has gone down very indeed, keeping a good atmosphere throughout.
We'll try and keep this thread updated with some of the best internet find relating to Sonisphere.
First up, to highlight just now well open and accepting the crowd were, a very unlikely candidate for a metal festival: Bjorn Again.
You certainly wouldn't imagine that an Abba tribute band would find a place at a metal festival, sharing a stage with bands like Soil, Skindred, The Used, Airbourne and Bullet For My Valentine, however forum chatter seems to indicate that they went down very well indeed - even getting a mosh pit going during Dancing Queen.
