What ftp program do you use...and also do you know where i can get a free ftp program because my trial has run out of CuteFTP Thanks a Load

I've found SmartFTP to be very good. It does cost, however I think it's usefulness is well worth it.

i think ive tryed SmartFTP i can't say i liked the skin it had. Do you know any others?

well smart FTP is the best one I used....
Theres a geoFTP very user friendly...

Wow, thats amazing. I know what you mean, I don't like Dreamweavers FTP client, to slow and tech...but it is helpful from time to time.

Oops typo, joys of working long shifts...
I find it fine for what I need. Gives a simple file structure to the site, and allows me to do what I need.

I find the Dreamweaver FTP fine to work with. The slowness it sometimes has I find is generally down to slowness in the FTP protocol and the different way that Dreamweaver is used instead of a standard FTP client.

Good good, i have just got my head around SmartFTP but windows FTP is still kickass.

I used cuteftp before and I switched to filezilla. Is there anyone here familiar with filezilla server? Is this type will host different IP, I need some information about this. However I downloaded filezilla client in which I can access to my client's portal.

Since SmartFTP stopped their free version I've switched to Filezilla. SmartFTP was much better though, Filezilla, while free, does lack some of the usability I liked. I might give cuteFTP a shot at some point.
I've not used Filezilla server though, so not sure what it is capable of

Right now I'm using Core FTP Lite, it's quite slow and fugly but it is free so i'm not to fussed (I only used once a month right now). CuteFTP is very easy to use (and only $14), but to be honest it's only worth paying if you FTP a lot.
I've used Filezilla FTP and it's like Core FTP Lite. The Filezilla server is alright to use, it has a lot in it but it takes some getting used to.
Have you tried Windows FTP?
