With the large number and popularity of super hero movies in recent years, it has been a genre that has been remarkably missed on the parody front. Sure, there have been 'hero' movies that have been funny (or at least tried to be), but there has been very little that puts a spin on the 'hero' idea, My Super ExGirlfriend being the only one that comes to mind. Now there is Hancock. Staring Will Smith as the titular character, he's a supposed 'hero' that has been unable to deal with the pressure of the fame, resorting to drinking and womanising, which has had a negative effect on the quality of his 'hero' work. Looks like it should be a good film, the trailer shows that the special effects are in order, now we just have to hope that it can carry the idea for a whole movie and not just for a trailer. http://www.apple.com/trailers/sony_pictures/hancock/

Saw Hancock last night and I liked it.
It's not the usual superhero movie, so don't be expecting something like Spiderman, Iron Man or X-Men, but it is very enjoyable. Best of all, there is a twist in the story halfway through which you probably won't see coming (for a refreshing change, it's not even hinted at in the trailers) - it certainly took the cinema by surprise when I saw it, with everyone releasing a unified "woah.."

yeah i was in shock from the twist. didn't see it coming! well...i thought there was SOMETHING but i didn't know what. ahhh!

I saw it Yesterday, I loved the twist at the end. I found it so gripping the whole way through and like Stevie said "Not the usual superhero movie". Great movie!

I heard about a bit that got dropped from the movie, which would answer some of the questions of whether someone with super powers like that can get 'intimate' with a woman. The phrase 'like a shotgun blast' was used.... so I'm guessing life could be a little frustrating for him!!

ha ha i thought the third one down was my fave till i saw the kkk one which...just made me think of what hancock would be doing to them if they were part of the movie. lol!

Hancock, what would I say! Okay this movie is great and awesome...so good job for Will Smith.
I especially enjoy the movie was a delight in its desire to portray a more humane hero. I like the ruggedness of hancock as a hero, his callousness, his I don't give a damn attitude and his evolving into a more normal hero.
It is hard to be a superhero specially if your not allowed to be with your love one.
