Possible new rendition of X-Com.

yeah, I saw that as well.

We can only hope!

That said, there are a few spiritual successors to X-Com out there. Laser Squad Nemesis is by the same guys, and the UFO series (specifically UFO Aftermath - http://www.ufo-aftermath.com/pages/headquarters.html) started out as sequel to the X-Com series (called The Dreamland Chronicles), however the game bankrupted the developers (who then started again and did Laser Squad) and the project rights were bought up by Alter.

Still, wonder how it will shape up today, particularly as it will probably be developed for consoles as well.
