Early this morning we passed the 6 million visitor mark. This tell us two things: 1. People are still visiting. That's always good :) 2. With the 5 million news article only a few below this one, I don't update the news often enough! Will try and sort that out this year :)

I heard Google only turns over some 100 million a year in profit, compared to some other companies (of the same level of influence) that is not very impressive. I think many .com's are over valued, for example facebook is some 15 billion. But no one would ever pay that much for it.

without a doubt, Facebook is never worth that (I believe they only turned over around 200 to 300 million), that valuation is only based on Microsoft buying 2% for $200m (or so), however it doesn't factor in that Microsoft did that after being awards a 3 year exclusive advertising deal, so the justification for the valuation is small. 200m is nothing to Microsoft, especially when they want to capitalise on the huge user base of Facebook, it just doesn't reflect the true worth of Facebook As for Google, no idea what their profit level is, however given that they have many billions in cash available, I'd speculate that their profit is much more than that. Even if it's not, it's still better than profit Facebook make 100m profit is not to be laughed at, it's an incredible amount of money which ever way you look at it!

You do know Google tends to buy things withs shares right? YouTube was like a few billion in shares so if Google dies those shares are worthless!
I doubt Google has as money as Microsoft.

no, Google definitely won't have as much money as Microsoft. Only Chuck Norris could count that high!
