A live action version of a Japanese anime normally wouldn't turn too many heads, however this one is being directed by the Wachowski brothers (Matrix Trilogy, V For Vendetta).

Staring Emile Hirsch as 'Speed Racer' along with his family (Susan Sarandon and John Goodman as Mum Racer and Dad Racer), Christina Ricci as Trixie and Matthew Fox as Racer X, the movie hasn't left it's anime roots behind. The visual style is pretty stunning, carrying many of the key anime elements into a 'photo-real' environment.

The movie looks crazy, as does the action!

i am looking forward to this movie SO MUCH! it looks like an arcade game.
