Kate Beckinsale returns in the sequel to the highly enjoyable Underworld, but this isn't Underworld 2, it's Underworld Evolution. A fugitive from her own kind after the events in the original Underworld, Selene is on the run with her cross-breed boyfriend Michael Corvin. She seeks to raise the father of all vampires (and presumably werewolves as well) Marcus to prevent the vampire race from dominating the world. http://www.apple.com/trailers/sony_pictures/underworldevolutionLooks pretty good so far, though surprisingly there is little shown of Michael Corvin (Scott Speedman) given the super-cross-breed status that he aquired at the end of Underworld. All will be revealed when the film opens in January

yeah i've been keeping my eyes on how the sequel has been coming along. saw the trailer earlier, and it looks like its gonna be pretty awesome. i'm VERY excited about it. the first one is one of my favorite movies ever

the movie is going to be released in the u.s. on the 20th and i'm counting downthe days. i haven't seen michael corvin inany but one trailer and he was...in bed with his woman, but i guess this is mainly about serene fighting against her hunters and flying creatures than michael being a half-breed. looks good though

yeah i watched a special on it and ikinda wish i hadn't cuz there were some spoilers, but i'm totally psyched since its released tomorrow. i don't thing knowing a few of the secrets will ruin it for me

woohoo... tonights the night. Why do fridays at work aaaaalways drag. Im zooming to the cinema straightr after work to beat the rush to see the film... looks amazing.

Saw it over the weekend there. Was as good as expected. As always shes looking amazing, lots of fights and scenes with the Michael character.. he IS a major player in the film, even though he barely gets a mention in the trailers. Very good film indeed. Highly recommended if you liked the first one.

The film was good! Definately recommeneded Really liked the way it tied into the first film, if you played the two films together you probably wouldn't notice where you change from the first movie to the second!

good. so its not one of those films where its nowhere near as good as the first one? and does it look like this is it? or did they leave things sort of unresolved like they did with the first one so there pretty much has to be a sequel?

Things are resolved to an extent, though at the end the narative tell you what is going to happen to the Vampire and Lycan societies, which is likely what will be handled with the 3rd film.
This one is of similar quality to the first one, if you liked the first one you should like this

yay! i saw it today! i liked it a lot though there was a LOT more violence and some heavy sex scenes which were pretty awkward for me considering i saw it with my DAD, but whatever. i'm not mad about a total lack of warning or anything. lol. awwww man. it was good though. i'm thinking you're right about the sequel. but i have to say, who else is there to play in it? is there anyone left ALIVE after all that? jeez!

must be an American thing... the sex scene wasn't that bad in my opinion, there wasn't really anything to see (  ) Other than the begining and the flash backs, there were none of the original characters in this one other than the two main characters. So I don't think the 3rd one will be a problem in that regard, I just hope they try and make the story intense and don't try and make a new bigger and badder bad guy.

yeah me too. and the sex scene wasn't XXX but in america its rare to pan out and show the entire body. mostly its just the chest up closeup shot and i also think it was worse in my mind because my superconservative father who called me a "loose woman" for kissing a boy was sitting right next to me. hmmmm yeah.

I thought it was a really good film, I was rewatching it 3 days ago =D I think it's really good and there are a few things that are unexpected, a great sequel for a change x
