vBulletin is advance and good too use,

PhpBB is simple and you can MOD it easy.

You can install them both easy on CPanel (I have that on Rogem.Net, makes life so easy)

But there both easy too install anywhy...

i might be going to pixelhosting $3 a month thats roughly a pound 50. they have cpanel there.

I did use PHPbb and found it was an ok forum, very simple though. I want something skinnable and easy to use...

You could always set up both and see which works best for you, then delete the other one.

As far as I am aware, you probably wouldn't go wrong with either of them, would just be down to your personal taste.

I use phpbb, with a few simple mods on it and a custom skin.

www.ithony.com/forum

The setting up of it is very simple, and the support once its installed is good.

By the way SWOJ uses Snitz Forums 2000 (see link at bottom of page).

Snitz is very good, but evil too set up.

yes, its Snitz forums, though I didn't find it a problem to set up at all, then again I've not got a problem with changing sources files to make them do what I want!

Snitz will only run on ASP though, so that would typically be Windows hosting. You can run ASP on Linuz/Apache with some extra software, however I'm not sure that it is 100% compatible, so don't know how Snitz would run on it. However, if you have PHP, stick to one of the two you have been talking about.

Yeah, ASP hosting is very expensive.
