Nintendo Revolution will be backward compatible with Game Cube games, they will also be making titles from other consoles available online as well (ie. download the SNES version of Street Fighter2 to play on Revolution)

Pictures of Revolution are linked to futher up this thread, however you can see them here: http://www.eurogamer.net/article.php?article_id=59144
It's size is roughly the same as three DVD cases, though slightly longer.

E3 is a trade show, no comsumers aloud and it was 2 or 3 weeks ago. However if I had the chance, I would not have gone anyway because
1. New consoles are interesting, however as previously discussed, good games are more important.
2. Star Wars came out on the same day as the show, so I'd rather have seen Star Wars

LOL

Not trying to start a fight or antything but your have now put the same link twice...

The Nintendo Revolution looks ulgy no kidding...but it's games what count.

In looks i think Sony has won.

I think XBox 360 will have the best games. Mind i would like to see games like Time Cris III on XBox

Am I missing something, do I not say that immediately before the link?

yeah, Xbox360 is the one that appeals to me the most, however I do like all three of them, sadly I doubt that I'll be able to have all 3 of them under my TV!

New article online indicating that Nintendo may be making the old games (SNES, etc) for the Revolution available for free (yes, FREE!). Sounds like a genius idea to me

Intresting article, but isn't this just a way to sell the Revolution, for example if it can play those good old games would it lack in graphics in anyway?????

Still i can play those old games free anyway if i have a emulater and the computer vir

I think the best buy is the PSP...

With the Revolution though, you can play all the games, without the trouble of having to find them, in a completely legal way.

Of course it is a way to sell more consoles. The ability to play these games on the console would not have any relevance on the graphical capability of the Revolution.

an article on Games Radar confirms this, also states that all Nintendo games will be made available, though games made by other companies would be up to the company to release - so where does that leave games like Donkey Kong Country or Golden Eye?

Hmmm. I like the xbox 360 alot. By the time it comes out I'll hopefully be able to afford it.

If you've read the specs it sounds so impressive.

If anyone has read the PLAY mag it has some good infomation on the PlayStation3 (as they will spell it, Welcome Chang3).

Playstation3 is 30 times more powerful then the PS2 and will be 2 times faster then the XBox 360 (60 Frames per a second)...

It's graphics are amazing, It's graphics chip is RSX, developed by leading PC grpahics chip maufacturer nVidia, Itr's reported to be the most sophisticated Graphics processor ever built.

The Playsation3 has bluetooth controllers (Use up to 7 wireless contollers), You can surf the interne t on it and loads (too much to say) more.

The discs can hold up to 50GB of space, unlike the discs right now (a small 4.7GB).

It's rummered to cost £300-£500.

The US and Japan will get it first, the UK will get it late 2006 :( (why do we always have to wait).

Too get the full story + More go to a newsagent and ask for The 'PLAY' Mag, it's about £4.

And if you believe Microsoft, their graphics chip will be the most powerful graphics chip available...

There were some interesting articles online, relating to an article that was pulled down from Anandtech apparently reporting that a developer of both consoles has said that the performance figures quote by both Sony and Microsoft are both very misleading and that 'real' processing power is only around twice that of the original Xbox.

Sony's tactic of delaying launch in Europe could cost them heavily over here, could really give Microsoft a chance to secure the European market before Sony even get launched. That does of course assume that Microsoft are able to meet demand for a worldwide launch

I agree, the first console out in the UK will do the best, Like people don't want too spend £300-500 then go out a by somthin the same for the same price...

i say to summarise which one will win. i would say either nintendo or xbox...ive lost faith in sony, despite it being suprisingly-superpowerful...i pick nintendo because its technique is fascinaing (remote and nunchuck pads)...it takes gameplaying to another level...in a fun way

yeh, pc will always be a classic...but unfortunately there aint a wide range of games out there...but at least there is something im fond of using...the 'internet'...and i find the keyboard hard to use as a joypad, which should be just a workpad...i like the gameboy advance emulators on pc though...

You, I think the PS3 has a big disadvantage. One, becaus it's coming under fire from Nintendo trying to copy it's controller, and Two, it uses Blu Ray discs which are hard to make and nobody likies them anyway.
