Final Fantasy 7
Neverwinter Nights
Pokemon (yes, spent quite a while playing the original Pokemon!)
Baldurs Gate
Dungeon Master
Eye of the Beholder
Hired Guns

To be honest, I've not spend a lot of time playing many RPGs to any great depth. I've briefly played a lot of them but there have only been a few that I have really put any time into playing properly.
Still got my eye on playing Star Wars KOTOR and the fairly old Anarachnox (if I can ever find it at very budget price!). Also planning on getting an XBox sometime soon, so plan on checking out Seduki (however you spell it)
Fable is also looking quite tasty

Some time ago i played an RPG most people seem to have missed, its called Grandia 2 and you should still be able to get it on PS2 although i played mine on Dreamcast,i rate it as highly as FF8 & 9,you can get reviews on gamegfaqs or gamespot .com.(Its a turn based combat system).

Oh and do the Monkey Island games count as RPGs or Action adventures?

Fable was ok... I thought it was a let down personally... but it was still good enough to recommend as a game anyways. Theyre actually re-releasing fable again, with more of the options they promised in the beginning but failed to deliver, so maybes that version will be better.

Fable is great. Think a lot of people missed the point of it, one reviewers comment really summed it up "boasting about how quickly you can complete Fable is like boasting about how fast you are at sex, you're just missing the point". Fable was a game about having to live in the world that you are influencing, live with the cheers for being a hero, live with the fear of being a villan.
It'd a great game, and I would add it to my list. not actually finished it on the Xbox yet, might try and do that at Christmas!

yeah,i thought it was fascinating actually.....all the changes in the body....i mean, in most rpgs you get hit and you flash red and your health goes down...but everything that happens to the character shows....i don't know....but on that note, i have to saymy all time fav is zelda, though legends of dragoon caught my fancy for a bit
