OH OH! I know! go to http://www.videohelp.com/and you can download software that converts swfs to exes. Magic!  oh wow, I actually contributed something useful to the forum!!! *runs around singing. this is short lived as several rottweilers begin knawing his legs off* sorry, had to.

Actually, lol. In Flash when you goto Publish settings just select .exe and it will do it. Simple

Isn't the comile to EXE option relatively new? Flash MX I think?
I don't recall seeing it in Flash 5, though I could be wrong.
