This tool should be pretty handy for anyone wanting to have a go at making their own avatars from videos. I would suggest that anyone wanting an avatar should check it out

I am truly bummed. I was going to request an avatar. What I wanted was a small vid of me getting a job that doesn't suck, but it seems I'll never get any footage to work with. Perhaps I'll make a video of me making a flash movie once I learn how to do that. From some of the ones I've seen, it doesn't necessarily require conscious thought, effort, or artistic ability. I can manage a smiley with hands, and with the proper tools I can make straight lines.
Here's an idea for someone to use if you are so inclined. Tarzan swinging from telephone pole to telephone pole on a downed powerline while wearing an Armani loincloth. Don't forget to put Cheetah, his companion corporate monkey, somewhere in it.
