Looks better, but still the image/Flash for the Title does not play on its actual name. Yes it is animated and has somthing to look at, but you need it to have roller balls or roller skates rockets/wheels etc. But its is looking a lot better still.

Well, my useless input. I'm on a Linux system in Uni. just now, and on a Mozilla browser, very little of the site seems to be working right. That'll partly because the browser doesn't appear to have any flash plug-ins so I don't see any of the flash stuff. and on the bar on the right, above the Coming soon bit, all I see written is this:

There are " & Application("ActiveUsers") & " active users on this site.
" %>

So I guess there are incompatability issues with Mozilla.

But how many people browse the internet on Mozilla these days anyway?

Not many, also the Links scroller at the bottom try using Java to make it a marquee or Use add rotator script linked up to a database, your server should support asp or PHP so this is not a problem, make the images smaller for loading it up as well. The border of the boxes does not need to be at high quality and makes the site look sloppy until its loaded.

well, just so you know.

Stats analysis on the Swoj.com server logs so that 94.77% of visitors are using Internet Explorer of somekind (most 6 then 5). 1.85% of visitors use Netscape and 0.72% use a Netscape Compatable. The rest is taken up with other misc browsers.

An while we are at it, here is some info on Operating Systems:
Win 2000/XP : 55.13%
Win98 : 34.98%
Mac (PowerPC) : 3.05%
Win NT : 1.7%
Win95 : 1.55% (honestly people, UPGRADE!)
Linux : 0.05% (not quite the competition to Windows that so many seem to think!)

The more unusual browsers also visit occasionally, 3 people have visited with Hewlett Packard Unix (HP9000), 7 using OS/2, 21 with Mac 68K, 169 with win 3.x and 180 with SunOS

Hope that is interesting/useful.

I really like to make everything as compatable as possible on Swoj.com and I would like to have the next version work on all browsers, but with so few visitors using anything other than IE, it's hard to justify the time. However, doing it right from the start is not nearly as hard as going back to correct it all!

Yes, but I use broadband and them images took a while to load, on broadband you want instant and on 56k longer than 5 seconds is bad

Use js (javascript) with a on load script, and tell it to load after everything else, I don't know the exact code but www.javascript.com should have it.

No Longhorn yet, however, I have had a few pr-release users on the site.
1 using Netscape 9
2 using IE 7

I wasn't sure where they come from, I didn't know that Netscape 8 had even come about yet!
