That funny script thing that I posted in another Matrix Rev thread points out a lot of plot holes and continuity errors, which really should have some explanation.

Ok, of all the ships you saw using their guns to fight off the Sentinels, how many of them actually made it out alive?

Neber: destroyed
Osiris: destroyed
Niobe's ship (forget it's name): almost destroyed, need substantial repairs before it could fly again - not forgetting that it only survived at all because they used an EMP (this took place in Enter the Matrix)

The big ship in Rev (was that the Hammer that Niobe piloted back to Zion?) - was getting ripped to pieces, again, had it not been for the EMP, they would all be dead.

OK, so the ships have guns, they provide very limited protection against the machines, the EMP is still the only REAL weapon they have.

Picture the scene: You are at war with the machines. They out number you. The only really effective weapon against them would also fry your own ship (unless you have the time to set the ship down and switch everything off first). You need ships for your people, do you give them

a: ships with no additional weapons
b: ships with big guns, 'cos they are better than nothing

you decide

Which then brings us to another question, the prophecy. The Oracle and the Architect have a chat at the end about what has happened - they are both programs and controllers of the Matrix, they both have their purpose. Was the purpose of the one ever to reset the Matrix as the Architect told him in Reloaded? I'm thinking not, I would guess that the purpose of the One was to bring peace between man and machine (in a manner that allowed both sides to save face of course!). The comment of the master machine saying "It is done" implies an intended goal and the care with which they treated Neo's body suggests that to them he was not just a battery.

Ok, so what are your thoughts and opinions on that?

I think the machine
realized it could no
longer use the Matrix
to grow its fuel.
They'll work aroud it
I'm sure.

Thats how it is set, its also based on the bible, with the machines being god, neo being jesus, smith being the romans. Neo sacrafices himself so did jesus to protect mankind.[}}:-|>>]

To me Neo is the equivelant of
an error message that pops up
right before your computer crashes.
Relatively speaking, not much of a
Jesus but I do see your comparison.

"Mr Anderson, welcome back. We missed you"
"Who are you?"
I noticed a distinct pattern in all those films!
